BTW if anyone has a video of the finals then please send me the link and I'll put it on the site.

Ellis: I like to brush my girlfriends hair 100 strokes before we go to bed.

Young: Ha Ha David, that's cute. I like to paint and file my girlfriends toe nails.

I'm going with distracting him to let Sharp come over the top to allow both Young and Lusk to be boxed in...if this wasn't the case then you've got me fooled because both Cutters were on the verge on elimination on the first lap. Looked as though Lusk may have pulled up short of the line once he knew it was between him and Eric to be eliminated. Good move and well executed by non-cutters riders in the finals. I also thought Fish was eliminated wrongfully over Bailey...

Anonymous said...

Bailey should have been out there, no question.

Definitely think that Ellis made a perfect move there to let sharp take the lead. Sharp killed the first few laps.

Eric: Hey man, couple more laps.

David: Yea, cant wait to get this over with. These saddle sores from today are killing me.

Eric: Haha. You should get a kit like mine, no sores.

David: I am working on it. You got one I can have, for the sores of course?

Eric: Haha. Maybe, if you beat me and Lusk.

David: How about just Lusk?

Anonymous said...

Ellis: I thought you couldn't wear that kit till April 17?

Young: Oh, these old things? I bought them on ebay.

C'mon all, lets not make this personal. There's a beer in it for you IF I can identify you.

Ellis: Wouldn't you agree Bloomington Velo-News is the best resource for everything cycling?

Young: Ha! Are you kidding me? PaulMach.pro is the best thing since sliced bread. You know it's legit with a domain name like ".pro."

Ellis: you are a faggot

Young: I know

Does anyone know the updated spring series standings?

Ellis: You ever think about shooting up with Bortz blood?

Young: Why do you think i'm winning?

Geraint Parry said...

Oops I should have mentioned no comments about peoples mothers, how stupid of me.

Ellis: You think if any of us win, it'll still be your picture in the IDS?

Young: Let's be realistic, no one else is going to win.

Ellis: Eric, do I push Sharp or do you?

Eric: Well, since you wont be on the last lap, I think I will

Ellis: Alright, well played

The comments on this site are getting out of hand. I am sick of reading all the hurtful and inappropriate comments. This site is about reporting about cycling not talking shit about people. Grow up people.

Todd your thoughts?

Erik Hamilton said...

I now see why GP has been deleting so many comments. People, posting comments like this is not only disgusting, but also pathetic. Granted, it is easy to do when hiding under the "anonymous" tag. I am amazed at how willing you losers are to post without having the testicular fortitude to put your name with your pathetic commentary. Maybe it is just bitterness, but to me it seems like deplorable immaturity.
Bloomington has the chance to be a great cycling community. I know these anonymous posters are more than likely not part of this great community but it is still disappointing. Grow up, or at the very least have the guts to put your name next to your idiocy.

Erik Hamilton said...

Working on it, I apologize to all readers. It will be removed, just having some "technical difficulties." I am all for controversy, good natured fun and discussion, not immaturity and hate targeted at specific individuals.

Anonymous said...

Todd your thoughts? ....please I can't sleep without u hearing an update from Florida.

Anonymous said...

Also Hamilton what is wrong with posting the truth?

Erik Hamilton said...

Also anonymous, don't be an idiot...but thanks for proving my point.

Post what you "believe" is the truth but have the balls to put your name with it.

Anonymous said...

yeah i dont like bissel either, dyson nevers loses suction. boss

Anonymous said...

Can't you setup the blog so anonymous comments can't be posted? Not sure if that will work or not.

Perez

Anonymous said...

Can't you setup the blog so only people relevant to the Bloomington cycling community can post?

Thats dumb, you cant censor people just because you don't like their comments. Deal with it. Boss

Anonymous said...

Yea. Make it only little 5 riders. Take away all these old cutters and townies.

Anonymous said...

First off Perez is an ATO alum, but yea why do all these cutter alumni cup the current cutter riders balls? Also are they going to beef up security this year bc there will no doubt be a brawl in the stands between cutters and snu. I hope the cutters have some other fans besides endurance freaks. Better start pumping some iron.

Hamilton's just being all pissy cuz he got his ass beat by some chump cat 3 this weekend. let this time of the month pass for him and he won't care anymore. wine and complain, but excuses are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink... And apparently Hamilton's took it in an uphill sprint to the finish this weekend. so sorry.

Anonymous said...

Cutters might be able to be strong on the bike, but can their fans handle being surround by SNU, Phi Delts and Delt's fans during the race? This years race is going to be ridiculous both with the riders, the fans, and all the concerts during the week before. Ride hard, frat harder

-William Fratterman

Zachary Lusk said...

Cutters fan carry guns and would absolutely beat the shit out of SNU fans. Our team's success is a direct correlation with fan support and I'm sure the "added security" would love to throw all you drunk bastards out to make more room for the real fans anyways.

Anonymous said...

Lusk, guns are not the answer, skittles and 2 liters of coke will solve all your problems

-Fratterson Davis

Anonymous said...

Lusk why are you racing a's just curious? Htfu.

I just can't believe that "fratstars" have resorted to threatening fans of other teams (that potentially involve children). It is disgusting and outrageous to me that people are actually threatening violence in the stands.

Anonymous said...

SNU fans will kick cutters fans asses. Non GDI!

Anonymous said...

Polity. Just so you know, cutters fans cause fights.

And keep your children outta the low rows.

A friend once said "hide yo wife. Hide yo kids."

Tudorica said...

Perhaps we could return to the original point of this discussion (funny caption for the picture)? I was looking forward to some funny yet tasteful suggestions...

Anonymous said...

GP you really stirred the pot with this one.

"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent"

In this case, you can't win this silly little bike race, so you will attempt to show how big and mighty you are by threats of physical violence.

Gorillas still live in the jungle, I thought humans evolved past those days due to cooperation and understanding. Guess some people still take more pride in the size of their muscles, than the size of their intellect.

Clayton Feldman

feldman, i really respect you as a rider and as a person, however, please keep in mind your teammate is posting threats about cutter fans carrying guns. that doesn't exactly display a role-model, championship attitude.

as an alum, it is shameless to see how little 5 has changed over the years. it has always been surrounded by controversy, but this year's has gone beyond the usual shit-talking and "entertainment" of it. so maybe, perhaps, we can have a little more respect for the race and the riders by letting their legs do the talking come april 15-16th.

Ellis: I am Cornholio! Need TP for my bunghole.

Young: Uhhh,he,he...dumbass!

Damn, everyone needs to lighten the fuck up.

Ellis: So what're you gonna do if Sigma Chi tries to box you in or something?

Young: I'll probly speed up or sprint or do some crazy shit, I don't know...

Geraint Parry said...

So I removed completely Anon posting. It's a shame as many good things can come from that but in the last weeks it's got a little out of hand. Not to sound pious but it might be explainable if the worst of it had come from some fraturd 'outside the community' but clearly someone with a good knowledge of riders and their nicknames is being inappropriate. I knew Eric would take some shit with this post (as with every post) but he's a big boy and has the perfect forum to reply on April 16th.
The violence is a new thing and needs to be calmed down (on both ends). SNU have certainly brought a new 'dynamic' to the table and for the first time recently I may have concerns. If, as all the evidence suggests, the Cutters smash every other team to pieces then other drunk supporters might get feisty. Luckily the most likely occurrence is that two frats fight, just don't be caught in the middle.

Zachary Lusk said...

Wow can't anyone take a joke around here? Everyone knows Coudright's got the biggest guns. The race isn't about how many asses your fans can kick anyways. Tupac: my guns don't miss either.

Todd said...

I'm bummed the anonymous posts are gone because as GP said, there are good comments that come from them. However, the personal nature of this thread and the threats of violence are inappropriate. Comments about Eric and the Cutters are fair game because his success and the teams success have stripped both of some of their rights to privacy. However, the attacks on third parties on here were deplorable.

Zachary Lusk said...

Kids can sit wherever they please too as long as they get there early. If you want to harm small children you're a pretty sick person and after being arrested I'm sure you'll get your own while in prison

Oh thank you so much, "The." I have been lost without any new mindless, self-glorifying, and cowardly comments from anonymous users hoping to rectify their deep-seated insecurities.

It is sad to see what should be (and has been) a great sporting event that remains collegial and sportsmanlike yet well-fought and competitive deteriorate into this mindlessness. Get over yourselves and your perceived celebrity and importance and either take credit for your smack talk or just shut up.

And as for my ill-fated attempt at a photo caption (since that's what this whole thread was about):

Ellis: So how'd it feel to be the target of an impromptu effort to make a last-minute Little 500 eligibility rule change?

Young: That's nothing. I'm about to go under the jurisdiction of Pat McQuaid in two weeks.

Ellis: Touche.

Kaleb easy there tiger.

My winner would April 4th 4.48pm. Nice dose of irony and a nod to the IDS love affair. BUT it's Anon so how can I but them a drink? That post isn't even offensive!

Ellis: damn I thought I had the best kit on today...I knew we should have updated the design

Young: wait until they start talking on BVN...people will probably say some really derogatory things about it and it will open another can of worms....

Ellis: huh? Shut up GDI

Young: whatever frat-tard
