Hilly Start Times
Many Bloomington regulars will be out of town for the weekend but of course the Hilly will endure. I suspect there will be a good group gathering at Soma at 9am on saturday so if you need a group to roll with then head on over. Sunday usually is a little more loose given the entertainments of saturday evening but usually at the top of each hour at Soma or the Sample Gates a group might form. Please comment below if you want to advertise what time/ place your group is rolling out. I hope all enjoy the mysterious Mount Faris (24%!).

Sorry to dissapoint, but the route from Edgewood to SR43 is unchanged. This Mt Faris is nothing new. I rode part of the newly marked course last Sun...
Wait until you ride through Newark. It has a very Deliverance-feel to it.
Any stories from the hilly? Who won it?
Cutters duh
It wasn't a race (no official start time), so there were no "winners". As far as the routes went, (to me) Saturday offered many more rolling hills, which were certainly a pain in the ass for the last 10 miles, while Sunday offered harder climbs, but less crap in between. Both days offered their fair share of poor roads, and some steep descents that were particularly dangerous at some specific points. Particularly, on Sunday a few miles before Mt. Tabor, there was a horse on the right side of the road of a nasty descent that afforded me the opportunity to let out some choice phrases directed towards the the owner of said horse. Other than that, everything was just fine and dandy. The weather was good, the scenery was better, and it was nice to see a lot of people riding their bikes. Oh, and Mt. Faris was nothing to write home about. Didn't get to sample the fried chicken offered at the lunch stop, but I suppose there is always next year for that.
It's always a race, even if you realize or not!
Mt. Faris was lame. If you ride around Bloomington at all then you should be capable of powering over something that short.
Taber is the hardest for me by far.
