Fall series

Results are here. I didn't see anything but the cyclocarnage so others are better qualified to judge what went on and hopefully that can be reflected in the comments. It appears CRU cycling have quite the young phenom in Kris Zee who won Street Sprints and strongly contributed to the 2nd place finish in the cyclocross. Could there be a new rising power in L5, powered by HIM upstairs? Climb Trial winner Rex Rafferty has clearly been training hard over the summer but will be ineligible for BKB in 2011 as he is a transfer from Air Force.
No surprise on the ladies side with Teter, DG and Wing-it looking good. The DG-Kelseys inparticular showed some good balliness after Kelsey P broke a chain and crashed to the track hard. Kelsey K raced to Wilcox, picked up a new bike and got back in the game! Good work!
That's all I have....

Wow, IUSF didn't even bother to put up Street Sprints results. Way to do 2/3rds of the job! IDS had a nice article on this.

And what about the Cutters? Haven't heard much about them on this forum for awhile.

Surprising results all around. CRU for the men and Wing-It for the women. Teter is also looking good, but that's not a surprise. Lower than expected finishes for Gray Goat and Beta on the mens side and Theta on the womens side. Fall series don't mean much for spring though, so it will be interesting to see how teams use this for motivation as the winter rolls in.

IUSF has riders who switch teams sit out a year unless their old team doesn't ride in the next race.

Hence why Delt's Coudright was able to ride the year following his run with Major Taylor.

BKB always is strong, but has yet to perform on race day.

When your best rider focuses on triathlons, your chances are slim to none. They were dropped last year very early and had several good riders including a cat 2. Pathetic coaching is the cause. They want to win, have the talent to win, but will not commit to training specifically to win.

In defense of BKB they did ride a very attacking race last year with RJ in particular being a beast. They tried like no other to take their lap back but were constantly chased. If only they had been scored 2 laps down at the break....

Yes, but how did they get dropped in the first place? It's nice to attack and all, but if that means getting dropped then it doesn't sound like a good strategy. Did they crash? Then I would understand. I didn't think they crashed but I could be wrong.
