Its actually a little more complicated than just putting on a 3 piece crank. Little 5 bikes have a rear spacing of 110mm, which unless you plan to A: use a vintage Keirin rear hub or B: try to bend a metal which innately does not do so and fit in a standard 120mm rear hub, you'd still be SOL.
Plus the trail is loosey goosey. It would ride horrible.
I'm not going to lie ... that bike looks like its going to be hideous. I wonder how many teams will leave on the chainguard, or how long it will take Rider's Council to send out a mass email telling ppl to take them off because rookies keep launching them into shrapnel when they crash practicing exchanges.
This is a resource for everything biking in Bloomington IN. Everything and everybody is welcome- rides, results, blogs, opinion etc. Mail me content at sacconetom@gmail.com or if you want to often contribute, let me know.

They still need to put a 3 piece crank on them so the can convert to actual track bikes for the velodrome.

Diggin' those rims, and that cream color might be a nice departure from the black and white of recent years.
But that chainguard is just silly...
