Team SIB as feeder...

..for NUVO which is now tied to Bissell PROcycling. Catanzaro and Depasse made the leap this year. Will you be next? Contact Tom Saccone for information about getting on Team Scholars Inn Bakehouse sacconetom@yahoo.com

This is good news for Indiana Road racing, should improve the general level.

A feeder team to a feeder team?

This whole situation just goes to show that in cycling (like the rest of life):

it is all about who you know and who you blow.....not how fast you can go (or what races you can win).

Anonymous said...

Now this is what BVN is all about: who are you suggesting who blew who? Name names please.

Really?

they'll have fun dividing the 3rd place prize money by 19 riders. Better get a team calculator.

Hmmm, the only CAT 1/2/3 result I see is a DNF. I would've gave him another year before I "signed" him.

so fred rose's 1/2 squad is just a feeder for nuvo?

tom schwoegler should coach nuvo, maybe they'll start a women's team then

I sense some bitterness here, not sure why? It's not like these guys had to ride for SIB for the rest of their cycling careers? As G said, this helps the overall level of cycling in Indiana/midwest. The program seems to be about supporting young, developing riders and giving them a platform to grow versus bringing in guys that are older & already established. It'd be great to see other programs do this. There are several talented individuals that never get up to the pro level simply because they don't have the connections. Well done to Nuvo for providing this opportunity for young cyclists.

Wieseler and Luzadder had all the exposure they ever needed to be PRO. I wish Nuvo would give some less experienced, but equally talented young cyclists the opportunity to grow.

I think the bit about SIB being a NUVO feeder was in jest, but why shouldn't there be a progression of teams for guys to move through as they improve in their racing? This may come as a shock to many of you, but there is a lot more to bike racing than staying in Bloomington, or even Indiana for that matter.

Courtney Bishop and Ken Nowakowski have been caught fornicating the showalter fountain. This is about as much of a shocker as Depasse and Cantanzaro being accepted on NUVO. Regardless, who cares? I have personally kicked many NUVO riders asses and I'm not good at all. Put them in a race like Hyde Park or some superweek race and they will get their grundles rocked. Anyways I might not be old, but I know the game. They aren't that great.

Look for the Scholars Inn 1/2 squad to give them a run for their money at the races this year.

Hyde Park is where its at. Best weekend of racing all summer, really shows which teams have the talent.

Is courtney bishop coaching SIB?

Heard the Cutters did 13.5 hours this weekend in Kentucky. Did PDT roll the ninety back to back in one day? That's what I heard. Sigma Chi just rode little 5 bikes all weekend and Delts were at the Teter house verifying the Fuzzy P**** status that Wing It claimed. Can anyone please tell me the truth to these matters, as I am trying to construct a linear regression based on all of these variables to determine who will win.

Saw your dick!

I can't help but wonder if Hamilton would have stayed here if he'd have known about the Nuvo >> Bissell thing.

Lyle said...

The bigger question is would Geraint have stayed had he known how much fun Tom Saccone is having.

Delts and Teter, wtf

Adam,

I can't tell if your joking or serious about the Hamilton comment. He did the smart thing by leaving Bloomington and living his life versus just focusing on racing his bike in the midwest. While most on this blog don't get it, there are greater things in life than racing in the summer-time. For most it is a hobby & there are a select few that make it to the pro's but even then it can be difficult as politics & age play a part. Those that continue to chase the dream season after season give up alot of that life stuff. While the transition out of Bloomington may be tough, I applaud his decision. He is very smart & he will be successful in whatever path he chooses.

Being the big fish in a little pond leads down the path of self-deception and stagnation. Diving head-first in the ocean leads to awareness of your shortcomings and provides a platform for improvement.

Erik made a bold move. We should be proud of him.

Getting on with your life is a bold move?

You can have ANYTHING you want out of life, you just can't have EVERYTHING.

Cycling takes energy from other pursuits.

So Eric moved to a town where all of his friends live to be a mechanic again and to race bikes. Very bold move.

I was being serious. For my $$ EH is one of the best riders (read: most talented) to have been through this town (to my [limited] knowledge). I think having the 'Bissell thing' could have given him the opportunity he'd been missing here. And he may get it there and it won't matter. I applaud him all the same for uplifting his roots, I just wonder...that's all.

Way too many anonymous "haters" post on this blog. The local racing scene needs haters 'like it needs a hole in the head'.

Anonymous said...

Adam, you are right in that EH is one of the best riders to every come thru Btown. And one of the best people, I do not disagree with you there. The world could use more people like him. I still think he made the right choice to go to Boulder vs sticking around, even if the Bissell/Nuvo thing happened. As I said...age & politics play a role.

Politics, it's a drag
They put one foot in the grave
And the other on the flag
Systems rotten to the core
Young and old deserve much more
Than struggling every day until you're done

Tension
Too much to mention

Shit piss fuck damn.

Little 500 prodigies were made.

Why do cyclist from all over the state come to BVN? For the drama that Bloomington cyclist (more than likely IU students) provide. It never ceases to amaze me how much resentment and negativity flows through the cycling world on BVN. Keep it up kids!

little 500 prodigies were made? 3 am? Sounds like recruiting for the future was just taken to a whole new level.
