Unseasonally good weather- who benefits?

Mid 60s in the middle of November? Nice an' all but what does it mean for next April?

The Facts-
1. Riding outside is more beneficial than being stuck indoors
2. December fitness will be higher throughout all teams
3. Winter will arrive but maybe shorter than usual
4. Bike fitness in general declines throughout the winter
5. Shorter winter means fitness declines will be less
6. Only the Cutters ride in the winter, allowed better maintenance of fitness
7. Other teams arrive in spring fitter than usual

The Result-

Unseasonally good weather= DISADVANTAGE CUTTERS!

LITTLE 500 2010- IT'S A RACE AGAIN!!!!

But what if this is merely a shifting of the 2009-2010 winter timeframe? Cold weather then extends into late March and possibly April, yielding a crappy race day, a la Little 500 2008. It's the Midwest, one never knows what will happen. Heck, it could snow tomorrow and I wouldn't be too surprised.

Just a thought.

The nice weather is an advantage for all riders. Anything that results in a decrease of Swine Flu diagnoses....and everybody wins.

Cold weather is no bearing on the training of Little 5 teams; the good teams will continue to train, the shitty teams will continue to train outside in the nice weather as well but with their same shitty ways. I wouldn't necessarily say any particular team is at a disadvantage; a fast paced race would benefit the Cutters and their style of riding the race and maybe not 15 teams will stay on the lead lap; only the good 5 teams will be there at the end with Eric Young winning another sprint

Party in the Villas!!! Everyone else has to pay 5 dollars for a cup...but the champs drink for 2.50!!! All hail Cutters.

This seems to be an overly simplistic view of what will determine the Little 500 championship in April.

As long as Cutters continue to have all the other teams cowed psychologically they'll keep winning. Nothing with change in the current state of Cutter dominance until other teams have the brass to man up to Cutters.

Cutters are just guys on bikes...
... but they're guys who train hard with purpose and take their task of producing champions very seriously.

In a period of three days this string has received more comments than Pedals and Spokes has in 3 months...still working on that forum Geraint??

Agreed, out with the old and in with the new!

That would be a great improvement. Anything Tom-free is an improvement.

Amen to anything being Tom-free as an improvement! Someone really hit that one on the head

It doesn't matter what the weather is, the Cutters still win easily. No one is even close to matching them, they just toy with the field.

I hear that they are great with girls in the tailgate fields as well

CT says.....I want everyone to watch the Cutters.....we dont want to be on the radar.....but there is a new kid on the block. You will find out who it is soon enough.
