Friday Social Ride

From Justin Keene- Since Ryan is on his way up to some 'cross races, I'll be the one to send out the email blast about the Friday social ride.

Same time (3:30 pm) from Sample Gates. We will go for somewhere between 30-45 depending on the group and what everyone wants to do.

If you have any questions, feel free to call me, 806-543-8518.

PB/2012

This looks like a pretty interesting docu-series about the Peanut-butter and Co/2012 Womens Pro team. More to follow...

The Heat is On - Ep 1 "Getting it Done" from Jim Fryer/BrakeThrough Media on Vimeo.

This team has big goals of bringing the Olympic title to the US in 2012 but it's a shame they'll be crushed by Team UK!

Velodrome Racing

Come on up to Major Taylor Velodrome tonight for the last day of racing before Collegiate Track Nationals next week. All the IU Squad will be racing including the inaugural attempt at the Team Sprint. Racing starts at 7.30pm with events for Cat3s, Womens and then Pro/1/2s.

OVCX Starts...

..this weekend in Cincinatti. It's 90F out and doesn't feel like Cyclocross weather but it's time to get out on (hard-packed) dirt. Don't break anything!

Monroe County HC

A good group showed up to battle up Lentz Road on the new course for the Monroe County HC. It was the fourth winner in as many years with Erik Hamilton talking his first victory in new Bikereg.com colors (other winners have been Sherer, Shei and Shanahan). It was a much shorter effort than the Pinegrove climb but there were no TT bikes in evidence and there were some 1minute max power efforts made by both Hamilton and second placed Jon Atwell. Fred Rose was third overall and won the Over30s trophies whilst Randi Cox (Women) and Jake Tudorica (Frat-star) won the other categories. It was great to see a few new riders out there including the Air Force L5 team. Special props to Perry Griffith who was riding on his 50th- not how I should spend my birthday!

Worlds

Cross worlds at 6pm at the Tailgate fields. Dodge the glass and chase Ryan Knapp!

Regular Worlds at Sample Gates at 6pm- Buskirk-Paragon Loop. I may not be there. I'd advise coming directly in on Old37 and not going through the Forest as it's gonna get dark!

Womens Ride at 5.30pm at the Gates.

Trophies!

Come ride, I didn't buy these to have 2 people to compete for them! The weather will be great for it. Sign up from 6.15pm, first rider at 6.30pm!

Monroe County HC- Tomorrow!

The Trophies are getting engraved and the tension is mounting! Tomorrow (tuesday 14th) is the Monroe Couty HC champs out on Lentz Road. A half mile of pain for the chance to be best overall, best female, best over 30 and/or best frat! Sign up at the base of the hill from 6.15 with first rider going off around 6.30pm. Will be fun!

IU Track Team on FB

Check it out! First event on Sept 23rd!
